Godzilla kicks us off in the opening vignette letting us know she could care less what they say (2 points for “Speak in opening vignette” to me!). While Chelsie is happy Lisa is gone, Quinn treats her eviction as if he’s in a horror movie, he’s shocked and not quite sure whether to believe it (1 point for “Shown on camera in gray” to Jay!). He thinks this blindside sets the tone for the season. One can hope!
Godzilla thinks the best thing she can do is to slink back beneath
ocean waves before rising to destroy another person’s game like the cardboard
Tokyo it is. She also gives an
overdramatic speech to the remaining houseguests for “keeping her dream alive”. Not so fast, mama, Tucker says. You ain’t off the hook yet.
Cedric, Cam, and Joseph all want to know who has the powers.
Cedric sees winning HOH as the only way to really find out.
It’s the “score points by pressing numbered buttons while
traipsing across balance beams” comp and Leah, Makensy, Cedric and Godzilla all
need to win it. (1 point each for “Say ‘I need to win << comp name
>> to Ricky, Dalphyne, Roberta and me!). Quinn puts up a good score early and Godzilla,
Kenney, Rubina, Joseph, and Kimo all
fail to pass him. Makensy and Tucker
both would have passed him but both fall with mere seconds left. Cedric, however, makes the course look easy
and completes it twice in 45 seconds to take home his first HOH win! (5
points for “Win HOH” to Roberta!).
In victory, Cedric shouts “From mascots to HOH suite” about
both he and Chelsie. She’s much more
reserved and doesn’t appreciate being called out like that. It doesn’t really matter much, however,
because the two are on the same side. She’s safe this week. Godzilla is worried she’s going back to the
block and “will do whatever it takes to stay here”. Does that include acting like a sane,
rational person? Asking for a friend.
Kenney shares his detective background with Cedric in hopes
of keeping himself safe, but then tells the kid he is ok being nominated. What?
He’s a mess. (1 point for “Mention
‘in this game’” to Dalphyne!). Along
with Godzilla, this gives Cedric two easy nominations, but who else to
nominate?
Cedric goes on a pawn interview spree which includes:
- Finding out Makensy has the veto power
- Rubina channeling Sandra from Survivor in her “anyone but me” stance
- Waking Joseph up in the middle of the night to ask him if he wants to be a pawn. Joseph can’t say “Hell no” fast enough.
- Finally, Leah whose face said everything.
We then switch to Chelsie in the DR as she lays out the possible showmances. You see…
In a side room, Cedric finally finds his 3rd nomination as
Tucker agrees to go up (3 points for “Agree to go up as a pawn” to me!). Despite
his agreement, Tucker thinks Cedric should’ve nominated Makensy to get her
power out of the game because a big move is what’s best for everyone (1 point for “Mention
‘in this game’” to me!) and Kenney
tells the two of them that the girls are forming an alliance. In the end, Cedric plays it safe nominating
Kenney, Tucker and Godzilla (3 points for “Nominated for eviction” to
Dalphyne), (6 points for “Nominated for Eviction” to me!).
In the outro, Kenney did not sound good. He talks a lot about how every day here is a day away from his kids and how he’ll give them a
show “while he’s here”. He’s not there yet but if he
doesn’t get evicted soon, I think he’s going to quit.
So what does that mean for our scores?
Jay walked into the episode leading me in 2nd by 14 points. By the end of the episode, his lead shrunk to 3! Ricky and Jen maintain 3rd and 4th while Dalphyne takes 5th and pushes Carol down to 6th. Finally, Roberta and Marissa swap the bottom two spots again.
- Jay 57
- Scott 54
- Ricky 40
- Jen 38
- Dalphyne 32
- Carol 29
- Roberta 21
- Marissa 19
