Before we get started, a reminder of who has whom:
Second, 5 bonus points each to Carol and Marissa for texting me the word “war”!
We pick up with what’s assuredly T’Kor’s worst Big Brother memory as she and Kimo react to being a port-a-pottie (2 points each for “Speak in opening vignette” to Marissa and Jay!). Chelsie wants Godzilla gone, and that’s good for Rubina who counts Kimo as a number for her (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” to Marissa!).
Makensy, Quinn, Chelsie and The Warrior laugh at how
Godzilla slithered on up, trying to get Makensy to save her if she wins the veto. Quinn doesn’t want to see it because SlayZeeAh
is a possible renomination, which he doesn’t want, and after Joseph went home,
it may cool everyone’s jets on using the veto (1 point for “Mention ‘in this
game’” to Jen!), (1 point for “Shown on
camera in gray” to Roberta!).
Godzilla tries to sound cool saying she’ll do a shot with Kimo and Rubina after the show “and I’ll do a pot too”, which makes me ask “Tell me you never smoked pot without telling me you never smoked pot”. If she tried to sound less out of touch, she’d never succeed.
Much like me when I play the lottery, Makensy begins dreaming of how she’d use the veto if she wins it. I guess “I didn’t use the veto because it was best for my game” isn’t a good enough resume builder. Quinn is more than happy to provide a reason – getting Kimo out means breaking up the trio and it gets Chelsie’s hands dirty in the jury. But that means…no. No way. He’d want to save Godzilla? AGAIN?
Makensy, who’s clearly not paid attention all season, thinks saving her
will get Godzilla closer. WHY WOULD YOU
WANT THAT???? SHE’S BLOWN UP EVERYONE SHE’S BEEN CLOSE TO! 5 bonus points if
you message me the term beautiful idiot. Tell no one else. Offer good until the
next update is posted. At least she told Chelsie about it, so she’s not
blindsided at the veto meeting!
Quinn, Makensy and Rubina are picked to play in veto (1
point each for “Picked for veto via random draw” to Jen, Dalphyne and Marissa!).
Talking to Rubina and Chelsie, Makensy says she won’t use the veto but I
think that’s performance art for Rubina’s benefit, given the last conversation.
It’s OTEV for the Veto competition and they have to figure
out and find the right name in the trash piles of…a relatively rude Trash Panda.
Where’s Zingbot???? Despite how iconic
the comp is, Chelsie doesn’t really want to do to avoid being too much of a
comp threat (1 point for “Say ‘X is iconic’” to Marissa!). The first
clue is to find the evicted houseguest who didn’t play in the first HOH
comp. Godzilla knows Makensy and Tucker
didn’t get to play (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” to me!), and
goes hunting. They all think it’s Tucker
but he did play…he was just left off a team. Cedric didn’t play as his game was
downgraded. Finally, they all have their
responses and it’s Tucker all the way down the line….except for Makensy who has
Cedric! Makensy wins OTEV in one round! (4 points for “Win Veto” to
Dalphyne!). The Beautiful Idiot has
won an iconic game in one round! (1 point for “Say ‘X is iconic’” to Dalphyne!).
Chelsie thinks everyone is a dumbass and she’s right. Makensy was just the smartest
dumbass in that five-minute stretch.
Following the Veto, Godzilla can’t sleep and, being the
paranoid lunatic she is, assumes everyone sitting outside is forming an
alliance to get her out. When she tells
Chelsie about this “alliance”, it rings true. Chelsie’s past willingness to
switch the vote makes her amenable to Godzilla’s wishes, especially so she can
get revenge on Quinn who she holds responsible for Cedric and Brooklyn’s
eviction (1 point each for “Shown on camera in gray” to Jen and Roberta!). Is this actual gameplay on Godzilla’s part?
Or did she fall ass-backward into strategy by mistake?
Chelsie thinks it out with Makensy and her thought process
is solid. She’s a terrific player. With 30 minutes to go before the veto,
Makensy makes a good move telling Quinn on the switch and deflecting the blame
to Chelsie. Quinn RUNS to Chelsie and
will promise her anything to stay off the block. It’s a cliffhanger ending as we close the
show, Chelsie thinks she can trust Quinn’s promises, while Makensy thinks Godzilla will be on her side now.
How can such smart people be so effing stupid?
So what does this mean for our scores? Marissa cuts 8 points off my lead in one
episode thanks to Rubina’s Veto pick and some bonus points she earned! 3rd through 8th remain in
place as Jen, Jay, Roberta, Carol and Ricky gain a couple each. The biggest mover is Dalphyne who, while remaining
in 6th, gained a lot of ground on Roberta thanks to Makensy’s veto
win!
- Scott 233
- Marissa 143
- Jen 111
- Jay 98
- Roberta 95
- Dalphyne 88
- Carol 76
- Ricky 65
