On to the update!
We pick back up with Julie calling herself Will’s Lemon
Drop, and everyone laughing (2 points for “Speak in the opening vignette”
[Everyone] to Everyone!)
Jimmy is upset – I know, I know, shocker – because Amy
called him a liar and a snake on her way out. Ashley, Rachel and Mickey console
themselves, while Lauren thinks it’s time she shows everyone what a competitor
she is.
(1 point each for “Mention ‘in this game’ [Jimmy] to Jay
and Tessa!)
(1 point each for “Mention ‘in this game’ [Rachel] to
Scott, Carol, Brian, Teresa and Demi!)
(1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Ashley] to Demi!)
(1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Rachel] to Scott,
Carol, Brian, Teresa and Demi!)
(1 point for “Say ‘I need to win HOH’” [Lauren] to
Roberta and Joe!)
In an effort to rebuild her numbers, Rachel cements a Final
2 deal with Ava, because she thinks she can beat the offbeat artist (3
points for “Shown making a Final 2 deal” [Rachel, Ava] to Scott, Carol, Brian,
Teresa and Demi!). Meanwhile, Keanu
and Adrian are ecstatic at the reversal of fortune (1 point for “Mention ‘I
need to win HOH’” [Keanu] to Scott, Jay, Carol, Ricky and Joe!). Adrian is
glad Keanu is excited, but he’s got no interest in working with the giant D&D
nerd.
Mickey and Morgan are ticked at Jimmy for getting Amy out,
as that was best for him and not them. Mickey is cold as ice when
telling Jimmy they’re all good. Does he even notice? Rachel is tired of losing,
she wants to make big moves. SHE’S RACHEL REILLY Y’ALL! Finally, Kelley definitely needs to win HOH (1
point for “Mention ‘I need to win HOH’” [Kelley] to Marissa!)
At the HOH competition, they need to remember details of a story told by Big Brother 17 twin twist Liz and Julia. Jimmy (aka Dr. No) is rooting for Mickey and Morgan as he thinks they consider him more trustworthy than the rest of the house
The story the twins tell is so confusing that the first question dooms half the house, including Kelley who just finished telling us she needed to win.
The 2nd
question gets only Ava, leaving Zach, Morgan, Rylie, Adrian, Rachel and Lauren
for the 3rd question. All but
Lauren answers False. Normally when this happens, it means the person who
answered differently is out. Not so this
time, as Lauren is the only person to get it right, winning her HOH! (5 points for “Win HOH” [Lauren] to
Roberta and Joe!). This has to be
the most unexpected HOH since Felicia a couple of years ago.
Katherine is relieved as they are BFF’s, Mickey may need to
use her HOH power, and no one else has a clue what Lauren is thinking, and
Rachel mockingly asks us “Who’s Lauren again?”
Two and a half weeks into the game, Lauren is excited to
finally start talking game. Did she
think she was on vacation before? I get
trying to float in the middle, but everyone’s reactions and her statement make
me think she really hasn’t talked to anyone but Katherine at all. That’s insane to me.
Will hopes there are enough other people to avoid the block,
while Mickey thinks she might get grouped together with Ashley and Katherine
could convince Lauren to nominate them both since Katherine/Ashley are still at
odds after #showergate.
Half the house thinks it’ll be Keanu and Kelley, but the 3rd nomination has them worried. Vince notes that he’s gotten close to Lauren on a game level and even has a Final 2 with her (3 points for “Shown on camera making a Final 2” [Lauren] to Roberta and Joe}, (3 points for “Shown on camera making a Final 2” [Vince] to Dalphyne and Marissa!) and he plants the idea that people think Katherine is in her ear and she needs to separate herself from Katherine.
Lauren tells Vince and Jimmy she is fine nominating Keanu
and Kelley but doesn’t want to nominate Adrian as he just took himself off the
block.
She doesn’t want to nominate ADRIAN because he just took himself off the block. I guess that “logic” doesn’t apply to Keanu and Kelley….who ALSO just took themselves off the block. I don’t know. You figure it out.
Rachel is used to winning competitions and making decisions and is upset that losing means she has to be so nice. It’s time for a balls-to-the-wall change and if that means lighting the house on fire, she will.
While chatting with Morgan and Ava, Vince looks like he just
saved Princess Peach from Bowser but that’s as Italian as he gets. He has no idea that people call pizza
“getting a pie”. And apologizes to Enzo
and Cody for not being Italian enough (5 points for “Mention a previous
season’s player” [Vince] to Dalphyne and Marissa!)
Lauren tells Keanu she’s considering Rachel and Jimmy sitting
alongside him, but it’s obviously a lie to get him to leave. She won’t even
look at him. Trying to determine if she
needs to use her HOH power, Mickey tries to convince Lauren to “honor the
previous HOH’s nominations since they didn’t go through”.
Mickey is
saying “just play Jimmy’s game” here and is convinced that going after Public
Enemy #1 (Keanu) is a “big move”. How is
doing what everyone wants “a big move”? Everyone wants it to happen! This is so
stupid.
Next you’ll be telling me that Kelley volunteers to be a
pawn (again) and Lauren takes her up on it.
Oh, that’s exactly what happened. (3 points for
“Volunteer to go up as a pawn” [Kelley] to Marissa!)
While Lauren says she wants to play, her gameplay says she
wants to lay low. She hopes Adrian will
volunteer to be a pawn too, but he wants nothing to do with it, driving the HOH
to tears (1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Lauren] to Roberta and
Joe!).
At the nomination ceremony, forever nominees Keanu, Kelley
and Will are nominated for eviction. So
much for shaking things up!
(3 points for “Nominated for eviction” [Keanu] to Scott,
Jay, Carol, Ricky and Joe!)
(3 points for “Nominated for eviction” [Kelley] to
Marissa!)
(3 points for “Nominated for eviction” [Will] to no one!)
who thinks it’s a weak ass move!
Rachel’s complaining opens Wednesday’s show (2 points for
“Speak in opening vignette} [Rachel] to Scott, Carol, Brian, Teresa and Demi!).
Lauren and the nominees talk about their situations as Ava, Rachel, Mickey
and Ashley console Will. Dr. No feels good with both the triple threat
(Ashley/Mickey) and with Katherine and Lauren.
And while Lauren apologizes to Will, she definite wants to win the Veto (1
point for “Mention “I need to win Veto” to Roberta and Joe!). For his part,
Will doesn’t really care about apologies. He wants to work with “Super
intelligent Ashley”, but fears if he comes off the block that she’d be the
replacement nominee.
Keanu wants to work with Adrian, but Adrian balks at the
idea of using the Veto on him. He
doesn’t want to be seen as an associate of the house pariah. Meanwhille, Mickey, Zack and Will make fun of
the fact that Ashley doesn’t know who Clark Kent is. Like…really? No idea?
Well, at least it gives me a reason to root against her.
Vince tells everyone what they want to hear should he win
Veto. Lauren gets “I won’t use it” while
he tells both Keanu and Kelley that he would. He has a Final 2 with Kelley, but
I doubt he’d actually do it for either. (1
point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Vince] to Dalphyne and Marissa!). He’s
definitely going to throw this comp, but they are all excited when he’s picked
to play. (1 point for “Picked for veto via random draw” [Vince] to Dalphyne
and Marissa!), and when Will’s name is drawn, he chooses Ashley to play. (2
points for “Picked for veto via houseguest choice” [Ashley] to Demi!) and
she promises to use it on Will if she wins (1 point for “Say I need to win
Veto” [Will] to no one!). The Veto
winner will also receive a screening of Bad Guys 2 along with 3 houseguests of their
choice!
It’s Entrapment time at the Veto comp as they have to steal the Maguffinite Crystal without tripping the lasers. Vince wanders around, wasting time to throw the comp. He’s failing successfully. At the same time, Kelley and Will are successfully failing. Will reminds me of what I’d look like trying to bend over these lasers. It’s not good.
Keanu, of course, has to win (Mention “I need to win
veto” [Keanu] to Scott, Jay, Carol, Ricky and Joe!). He’s fast and agile
but he’s rushing, and he doesn’t have Kaycee in his corner this time (5
points for “Mention a previous season’s player” [Keanu] to Scott, Jay, Carol,
Ricky and Joe!). Lauren did
gymnastics and dancing, and it shows as she obliterates the first half of the
course. Unfortunately, the crystal is
too big for her to easily maneuver.
At the reveal, Vince comes in 3rd having failed
successfully. Lauren’s worst-case scenario materializes as Keanu who takes home
the win! (4 points for “Win veto” [Keanu] to Scott, Jay, Carol, Ricky and
Joe!)
Adrian thought this would be an easy week but sees himself
as a renomination target. Will, Ashley and Mickey think Ashley will be the
replacement target (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Ashley] to Demi!) and
they’re not far off, as Vince tries to convince Lauren that’s the right way to
go. Unfortunately, Lauren thinks that would anger Will. Somehow, she utters the phrase “I’m not tiptoeing
around people because it’s scared brother. This is Big Brother”. She
must be trying to convince herself here because she’s not convincing us. She’s
ABSOLUTELY playing scared brother.
Rachel, who’s cleaning from room to room, catches Vince and
Lauren strategizing more than once and she can’t have that! If anyone should be telling Lauren what to do
it needs to be Rachel! She tries talking Lauren out of Ashley, and thinks the
talk went well but Lauren reacts like she was scolded by her mom.
As part of his Veto victory prize, Keanu gets to choose
three people to watch Bad Guys 2 with.
Strategically, he chooses Rachel, Jimmy and Ava, all of whom see it for
the olive branch it is. Rachel thinks watching a movie in the house is iconic,
and hopes Brendan takes the kids to see it! (1 point for “Say something is
iconic” [Rachel] to Scott, Carol, Brian, Teresa and Demi!), (5 points for
“Mention a previous season’s player” [Rachel] to Scott, Carol, Brian, Teresa
and Demi!)
Morgan rallies the troops to convince Lauren that nominating
Ashley will create enemies, and when Mickey puts the idea in her head…it
sticks.
At the veto ceremony, Keanu takes himself off the block and
Adrian is nominated. (3 points for “Nominated for eviction” [Adrian] to
Brian!)
Adrian, Will and Kelley on eviction night? Is this a repeat
episode? Vince sees Lauren not nominating Ashley as a silver lining – now
Rachel can’t say he is running her game.
On Thursday, Ava and Mickey spilling popcorn on the hammock
kicks off the show (2 points for “Speak in the opening vignette” [Ava,
Mickey] to no one!). Keanu sees Adrian and Kelley on the block as
bittersweet as they are both allies, proving he has no read on them at all. Dr.
No thinks he’s running the game alongside Mickey, Morgan and Rachel. Lauren claims she was going to nominate
Ashley until the word Adrian came out of her mouth, but I don’t believe that. (1
point for “Shown on camera crying” [Lauren] to Roberta and Joe!), Kelley is
upset that she’s got to go against Adrian, hoping he will stay (1 point for “Shown
on camera crying” [Kelley] to Marissa!) but Vince doesn’t see how both
Kelley and Adrian make it through the week.
Neither Will nor Adrian understand why Lauren nominated them
because they’re trying to apply logic while she’s acting out of self-preservation
fear levels. Adrian has a champion in Vince, however, as the inaugural HOH will
campaign on Adrian’s behalf.
Morgan makes a critical error with Mickey, telling her about
a Final 3 she has with Zach and Vince in hopes of turning it into a Final 4.
Zach notices how close Morgan is to Mickey and decides to try and break them up, asking Morgan how she feels about Mickey, then telling Morgan that Mickey knows about their Final 3. This infuriates Morgan as she said that in confidence.
Morgan tries to logic it out but recognizes that she’s lost Jimmy and maybe keeping Will isn’t best for her own game now. (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Morgan] to Dalphyne, Ricky and Tessa!).
Speaking with Vince and Zach, Lauren now considers keeping Adrian
and voting out Will. BUT WON’T THAT PISS
OFF THE OTHER HALF OF THE HOUSE LAUREN???? IF YOU WERE GOING TO DO THAT, JUST
NOMINATE ASHLEY!
They count up the votes to keep Adrian and Vince realizes it’s
possible, but it’ll piss off house divas Rachel, Ashley, Mickey and Jimmy.
At the BB Blockbuster, the three nominees get a minute and a
half to count the differences in two nearly identical rooms, with the closest
to being correct taking themselves off the block. After 40 seconds, each of them
locks in and it’s BB Blockbuster Queen Kelley who takes it home again! (4 points for “Win special comp” [Kelley] to
Marissa!).
There’s almost no strategizing before the vote, but Will and
Adrian’s speeches are emotional and Ava and Rylie cry right alongside them. In
the end, Adrian is voted out by a vote of 8-4, with Vince and Zach voting to
evict him.
(1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Will] to no one!)
(1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Adrian] to Brian!)
(1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Ava] to no one!)
(1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Rylie] to Viviana!)
(4 points for “Received vote against” [Will] to no one!)
(8 points for “Received vote against” [Adrian] to Brian!)
(-2 points for “Evicted” [Adrian] against Brian!)
If they’d gone the other way, Lauren would have had to break
the tie, and that might mean someone would get mad at her. Looks like Vince and
Zach let her off that hook.
So, what does this mean for our scores?
Thanks to Keanu’s continued scoring dominance, Carol retains
her lead and I take 2nd for myself, knocking Jay into 3rd.
Joe keeps hold of 4th place with his strong pairing of Keanu and HOH
Lauren. Ricky catches Brian in a tie for
6th while. Marissa breaks out of the three-way tie for 7th,
claiming the spot for her own thanks to Kelley’s comp beastieness! Roberta drops
to 8th just 2 points ahead of the big movers of the week. Dalphyne and
Demi entered the week in 12th and 13th, respectively. They are now 9th and 10th,
despite having all different players.
Unfortunately, this kicked Teresa, Tessa and Viviana into 11th,
12th and 13th.
