Second, 10 bonus points to Teresa, Tessa, Marissa and
Carol for getting one of the bonus questions right and for
sending me the secret bonus point word Tantrum. Third, 5
bonus points each to Jay and Viviana for knowing Violet and Mother Gothel,
respectively. Lastly, 5 bonus points
to me for knowing Mother Gothel was from Tangled!
On to the DOUBLE EVICTION WEEK update!
Big Brother only aired twice this week, and Vince and Morgan
kicked off Wednesday’s episode (5 points for “Speak in the opening vignette”
[Vince] to Scott, Jay, Roberta, Dalphyne, Brian, Tessa, and Joe!), (5 points
for “Speak in the opening vignette” [Morgan] to Carol, Dalphyne, Marissa, Brian
and Tessa!).
Following his departure, Ava already misses Will (1 point
for “Shown on camera in gray” [Will] to No one!) and (1 point for
“Mention ‘in this game’” [Ava] to Roberta and Demi!) but she has a good
thing going with Kelley and Lauren. Ashley is trying to build something with
Keanu, but only if he acts how she wants, and Lauren is happy with her HOH, but
would rather have seen the oafish barbarian walk out the door. Unfortunately, he won his way off the block (1
point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Keanu] to Jay, Ricky, and Viviana!).
Finally, Vince and Morgan are happy with their decisions to keep Ashley over
Will (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Vince] to Scott, Jay, Roberta,
Dalphyne, Brian, Tessa, and Joe!)
Following Will’s eviction, Keanu, Morgan and Vince talk and Keanu mutters “GTFOH” (google it, old people) as Lauren walks by, which Morgan finds encouraging. Talking with Kelley, Keanu says the optics of Morgan and Vince’s cheatmance, and Ashley agrees too. When the cheatmance engages in an overlong hug, the rest of the house departs the HOH room. Keanu quips “What show are we on? Cheating Island”? Kelley sells Keanu out to Vince, leading the mustachioed weasel to hope America thinks differently
The doorbell rings and it’s finally time for ZINGBOT! The zings are pretty good this year but asking Morgan “What do you call someone who lights up when Vince enters the room, gives him hugs and long cuddles? His girlfriend” sends the gamer over the edge. She is FURIOUS and decides to hide it by murdering a pizza that just came out of the oven. I’m not sure what that poor pizza did to deserve it. 5 secret bonus points if you send me the words murdered pizza. These are in addition to other bonus points. Zingbot takes that as his cue to leave. Later, she’s totally defensive claiming it was lame, and Vince hopes that “cheating on national TV” isn’t his public perception.
At the HOH comp, we find out Zingbot was killed by the
Mastermind after he left! The
houseguests watch a series of clips and have to answer true/false questions
about them. Most points after 7
questions wins HOH! After the 7
questions are done, Vince and Kelley are tied for the lead at 5 right. In the
tiebreaker, they’re asked how long the documentary was in seconds, and Vince
was closest meaning he’s won his 3rd HOH! (5 points for “Win HOH” [Vince] to Scott,
Jay, Roberta, Dalphyne, Brian, Tessa, and Joe!) and being so close to her
first win sends Kelley to tears (1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Kelley]
to Carol, Marissa, Teresa, Viviana, and Demi to!).
He knows Kelley is a nominee, and Ava knows she will be one as well. Keanu is a constant target too. Morgan desperately wants him to nominate Lauren since “she hasn’t been nominated all season”. Right, that’s the only reason. Mmm-hmm…Lauren, naturally, feels good that her Final 2 won HOH, and she will try to convince Vince to keep Kelley and Ava off the block.
Vince confronts Keanu about what he said, and that leads to
his likely nomination. Ashley and Morgan agree to try and convince Vince to
nominate Lauren, but Vince isn’t hearing it. Morgan knows Vince and Lauren are
close, but the two women are at each other’s throats. Vince refuses to see
nominating Lauren as anything other than “getting rid of the only other person
in the house who will support me”, while Morgan sees it as “Nominating someone
who’s never touched the block and is coming for me, your closest ally”.
His gameplay has finally led to this. He tried to get them
together into an alliance weeks ago, but it never materialized and now he’s
caught in the middle of a situation he created…again.
Vince tries to convince Lauren to agree to be nominated but
she’s hearing none of it, and she reminds us that her allies go home whenever
he’s HOH (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Lauren] to Scott, Ricky,
Teresa and Joe!), (1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Lauren] to Scott,
Ricky, Teresa and Joe!).
At the nomination ceremony, Vince stays true to Lauren and
chooses Kelley, Ava and Keanu for possible eviction, leading Ava to give an
over-the-top, over-rehearsed “The house will tremble” speech. These planned moments are awful.
(3 points for “Nominated for eviction” [Kelley] to Carol,
Marissa, Teresa, Viviana, and Demi!)
(3 points for “Nominated for eviction” [Ava] to Roberta
and Demi!)
(3 points for “Nominated for eviction” [Keanu] to Jay,
Ricky, and Viviana!)
Ideally, he wants Kelley or Ava gone. Morgan can’t believe he didn’t nominate
Lauren (read as: Do what Morgan wanted) and Keanu doesn’t respect Vince’s game
because every time he decides, he cries about the decision and wishes he hadn’t
made it.
Morgan starts working on Vince to renominate Lauren, should
the Veto go that way. It’s ultimatum time for him and all he can do is pray
that nominations remain in place. When the time comes to pick players for the
veto, Keanu chooses Morgan over Ashley, while Lauren is picked by random draw (2
points for “Picked for Veto via houseguest choice” [Morgan] to Carol, Dalphyne,
Marissa, Brian and Tessa!), (1 point for “Picked for Veto via random draw” [Lauren]
to Scott, Ricky, Teresa and Joe!) and the 22-year old knows that trusting
Vince is a fool’s play she needs to win it (1 point for “Mention ‘I need to
win Veto” [Lauren] to Scott, Ricky, Teresa and Joe!)
At the Veto competition, they have to cross a seesaw, place
balls in a hoop, and go back without the balls falling out, or them falling off
the seesaw. The first to place 25 balls wins. Ava, Morgan and Keanu all join
Lauren to form the “I need to win” chorus.
(1 point for “Mention ‘I need to win Veto’” [Morgan] to
Carol, Dalphyne, Marissa, Brian and Tessa!)
(1 point for “Mention ‘I need to win Veto’” [Ava] to
Roberta and Demi!)
(1 point for “Mention ‘I need to win Veto’” [Keanu] to
Jay, Ricky, and Viviana!)
Kelley, however, doesn’t join the chorus and instead thinks she’d use the Veto on Ava because she can win Blockbuster.
They all struggle. This comp looks really hard, but Morgan
figures out the balance fastest and takes home her 3rd veto in a
row! (4 points for “Win Veto” [Morgan]
to Carol, Dalphyne, Marissa, Brian and Tessa!). Despite being her closest ally, Vince is
hardest hit here as Morgan plans to have “heart to heart conversations” with
the HOH about nominating Lauren.
Vince is again in the middle, promising Lauren to nominate Ashley should Morgan use the Veto, while Morgan is absolutely insistent that Lauren hit the block. She refuses to let go of this, holding marathon-level talks with him. The sun goes down, the moon goes up, the sun comes up again, the moon comes up again and they’re still at it.
In the end, Morgan agrees not to vote for Lauren if Vince
nominates her, but she tells us if Lauren is there, she might not hold to that.
It’d be nice to see Vince get a taste of his own medicine.
At the veto ceremony, Morgan decides to take Ava off the
block and Vince commits his final (?) betrayal, nominating his Final 2 Lauren
(3 points for “Use veto on someone else” [Morgan] to
Carol, Dalphyne, Marissa, Brian and Tessa!)
(5 points for “Someone else used Veto on you” [Ava] to
Roberta and Demi!)
(3 points for “Nominated for eviction” [Lauren] to Scott,
Ricky, Teresa and Joe!)
On Thursday, it’s DOUBLE EVICTION NIGHT, BABY! Keanu’s
Cheating Island comment kicks off the opening vignette (2 points for “Speak
in the opening vignette” [Keanu] to Jay, Ricky, and Viviana!)
Morgan is drained, but happy Vince finally chose her. Keanu knows he needs to win his way off the block (1 point for “Mention ‘I need to win BB Blockbuster’” [Keanu] to Jay, Ricky, and Viviana!). Ava can’t believe Morgan used the Veto on her, and it’d be iconic if Lauren sends Keanu home (1 point for “Mention ‘Evicting Keanu is iconic’” [Ava] to Roberta and Demi!). Vince wants Kelley gone, and while Lauren claims not to understand why Vince would nominate her, she thinks Vince finds it easier to upset Lauren than Morgan (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Lauren] to Scott, Ricky, Teresa and Joe!)
All of Morgan, Ashley, and Keanu think Lauren should go home
and that’s enough votes to do it. But will they? Lauren gives Vince a guilt trip saying every
time he’s had power has made her game harder. For others in Big Brother, this
could’ve been an emotional manipulation ploy but from Lauren, it’s the truth.
Morgan shows up – of course – and gives Lauren the “I don’t
want you to go home” platitude, but Vince saying his ideal Final 3 is with
Morgan and Lauren is a red flag for Morgan. Finally, Ashley tells us that while
Kelley is the agreed upon target, she’s not going to do what Vince wants (1
point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Ashley]!).
Unable to sleep, Morgan wakes Vince in the middle of the night. His Final 3 comment was bad, but he also intoned that if she voted Lauren out that they couldn’t be friends after the game, which is “effed up”. They fall back into the same argument (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Vince] to Scott, Jay, Roberta, Dalphyne, Brian, Tessa, and Joe!) and she has the nerve to ask “Well, if you didn’t want her out then why not just put up Ashley”
She now wants him to be ok evicting Lauren, and their fight is overheard by Kelley and Lauren, who thinks she’s going home (1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Lauren] to Scott, Ricky, Teresa and Joe!). Morgan is finally getting tired of talking about this with him. She can’t believe he’s acting like his game is the only thing that matters.
When Lauren finally gets to talk to Vince, she asks if
Morgan convinced him to vote her out yet.
He promises not to, of course, but she’s learned not to trust his words.
At the BB Blockbuster, the Mastermind need them to find orbs
hidden in a tub, climb a set of stairs and drop them into a “containment tube”.
First to 4, or whoever leads after 4 minutes, wins. Knowing she’s on the line
must drive Lauren. She has three sunk before Kelley or Keanu have one, and she
sinks her fourth soon after they finally get on the board (4 points for “Win
BB Blockbuster” [Lauren] to Scott, Ricky, Teresa and Joe!). The BB
Blockbuster saves the target again!
Upon hearing the news, Vince bursts into tears (1 point
for “Shown on camera crying” [Vince] to Scott, Jay, Roberta, Dalphyne, Brian,
Tessa, and Joe!). There’s no time for strategizing and following two lame
speeches, is a 2-2 tie meaning Vince finds himself in the middle once again. He
takes the opportunity to betray his former Final 2 Kelley one last time, making
her Juror #3.
(2 points for “Received vote against” [Keanu] to Jay,
Ricky, and Viviana!)
(2 points for “Received vote against” [Kelley] to Carol,
Marissa, Teresa, Viviana, and Demi!)
(-2 points for “Evicted” [Kelley] to Carol, Marissa,
Teresa, Viviana, and Demi!)
(2 points for “Jury member” [Kelley] to Carol, Marissa,
Teresa, Viviana, and Demi!)
She tells everyone on the way out that she had a Final 2, 3
and 4 with Vince but eventually he will do what Morgan wants. It’s old news,
but why not?
Talking with Julie, she is very funny, totally owning that she was irritating on purpose, and her saying “Rachel’s gonna get sick of me in that jury house” and her reaction to seeing Vince’s goodbye message had me in literally laughing out loud.
There’s no time for the Houseguests to rest, however, as the
Mastermind tells them IT’S DOUBLE EVICTION NIGHT, BABY!
In the new HOH comp, they have to roll a ball up a ramp
until it stops on a rug. First to five
wins. I’m desperately rooting for Keanu because it’d shake up the house, but
it’s Morgan who lands her fifth ball first. (5 points for “Win HOH” [Morgan]
to Carol, Dalphyne, Marissa, Brian and Tessa!).
Julie announces the BB Blockbuster is over, meaning only two people
will be nominated. With no time to think, she nominates Keanu and Lauren. (3
points for “Nominated for eviction” [Keanu] to Jay, Ricky, and Viviana!), (3
points for “Nominated for eviction” [Lauren] to Scott, Ricky, Teresa and Joe!)
It's “Spot the Mastermind” in the POV competition, where
they have to find where the Mastermind is hidden in sections A, B or C of seven
pictures. After all, seven are shown, Morgan and Keanu are perfect, meaning
it’s a tie. In the tiebreaker, Keanu is
the closest meaning (4 points for “Win Veto” [Keanu] to Jay, Ricky, and
Viviana!). It’ll be someone else
sitting next to Lauren.
After using the Veto on himself, Morgan nominates Ava (3
points for “Nominated for eviction” [Ava] to Roberta and Demi!) which sends
her to tears (1 point for “Shown on camera crying” [Ava] to Roberta and Demi!)
After speeches telling us how much they love everyone,
Lauren is evicted by a 2-1 vote making her Juror #4
(1 point for “Received vote against” [Ava] to Roberta and
Demi!)
(2 points for “Received vote against” [Lauren] to Scott,
Ricky, Teresa and Joe!)
(-2 points for “Evicted” [Lauren] to Scott, Ricky, Teresa
and Joe!)
(2 points for “Jury member” [Lauren] to Scott, Ricky,
Teresa and Joe!)
In the end, Morgan gets what Morgan wants.
So, what does this mean for our scores?
Lauren led all scorers this week with 18 points. Keanu and
Morgan tied for 2nd with 17 while Ava put up her season-high with
16. Vince was chosen by seven of us, but he didn’t earn it. He only posted 9
points. In our game, Tessa was the weekly high scorer with 36 points!
Carol remains on top, and the top six including me, Jay,
Brian, Joe and Marissa remain in place. Ricky jumps from 8th to 7th,
and Tessa from 9th to 8th which drops Dalphyne to 9th. Teresa remains in place but the big news of
the week is that after weeks of progress, Viviana has escaped the cellar! She jumps past both 11th place Roberta
and 12th place Demi! No time
to get lazy though – there’s still plenty of points out there!
