Before we kick off, a reminder of who has who:
Heading into the HOH comp, Tucker and Makensy both feel the
need for safety (1 point each for “Say ‘I need to win << comp name
>> to me and Dalphyne!). It’s
a “Find what’s wrong in these pictures” comp where the winner nominates the
next two players.
Godzilla and Brooklyn start nominating each other every time
out until Brooklyn finally loses. Cam
picks Tucker twice and, despite needing to win, the chef bows out leaving Cam vs.
Godzilla in the finals. Tucker can hear
the teeth gnashing at the idea of another Godzilla HOH as Chelsie reminds us of
how the last one went
In the end, Godzilla takes home the most meaningless HOH of
the summer (5 points for “Win HOH” to me!) and Tucker is happy someone he can trust
won HOH (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” to me!). I know he’s crazy, but is he also
dumb? She’s a time bomb and she’s going
to go off. The only question is when, and who’ll be around to suffer the
shrapnel.
Brooklyn finally gets some airtime, as she does The Liar’s
Dance with Godzilla while talking out their tit-for-tat HOH spat. Godzilla says it’s not personal, Brooklyn
says she believes her. Godzilla is lying
and Brooklyn knows it, but both earn some crying points (1 point each for
“Shown on camera crying” to me and Jen, who probably forgot she has Brooklyn!).
Their dance concluded; we shape up to Tucker & Godzilla vs. The Pentagon as Tucker and Godzilla agree Quinn, Brooklyn and Cedric should
go up while Quinn tells the Pentagon he will use his power to keep them safe
despite his declaration about not doing so.
We moved into our next possible showmance, with (who else)
Tucker and Rubina taking the place of Matt and Makensy (1 point for “Shown
on camera in gray” to Ricky!) and while the tension is high, they resist
for now.
Quinn holds out hope that his reputation and power can
be saved when he talks with Godzilla about who she’ll nominate. She turns the tables on him asking who his “hard
no’s” are. Knowing this will reveal his
game, Quinn shuts the conversation down.
He will use the power to shield the Pentagon, though his Visionary
allies T’Kor and Kimo are his true loyalty (1 point for “Mention ‘in this
game’” to Jen!)
Quinn’s initial thoughts on nominations are Tucker, Makensy
and Rubina but he pivots away from the tiny one when Cedric offers himself up
as a pawn (3 points for “Agree to go up as a pawn” to Roberta!). At the nomination ceremony, Quinn holds
true. Tucker, Makensy and Cedric are put
up for eviction (3 points each for “Nominated for eviction” to me, Dalphyne
and Roberta!).
Quinn thinks Tucker is scary and doesn’t want to see him next week, while Tucker confirms he should be scared saying “I beat you all before, I’ll beat you again”. There’s no fear in his game at all.
What does that mean for our scoring?
First, 5 bonus points to Marissa for knowing my movie reference! That's still open to anyone, just text me directly.
Thanks to Godzilla’s HOH and Tucker’s…..everything else…I’ve jumped to a massive 34-point lead over Jay while 2-8 remain in place, though 3rd place Dalphyne has closed the gap to 2nd on Jay and 7th place Roberta has almost caught 6th place Carol.
