Before we get started, a reminder of who has whom:
Following Cedric’s eviction (1 point for “Shown on camera
in gray” to Roberta!), both Kimo and Quinn are in tears, as they both feel they
were the reason he went home. While it’s
accurate in Kimo’s case, neither should feel bad. It was the right move. (1 point each for “Shown
on camera crying” to both Jay and Jen!). Chelsie sees Kimo and T’Kor as punking out
While T’Kor convinces herself it’s ok to take control of her
own game, Brooklyn is shocked, SHOCKED, that the house kept Rubina after she
flat-out told her they weren’t. This is
not a good look for Brooklyn, as Five-Pointz alliance mate (and winner of every
freakin’ comp) Tucker knows he can’t trust her, but now she sees them as easy
nominations when she wins HOH so they should both be fine. T’Kor
was getting the evil eye from Brooklyn but she decided to put fear aside. (1
point for “Mention ‘in this game’” to Marissa!)
Both Quinn and Brooklyn struggle to understand why Kimo and
T’Kor flipped but they’ll never get it since they can’t see past their own
games. Brooklyn closes the segment by reminding us she’s a momma from Texas and
Hell’s comin’ with her
It’s time to fight for the HOH and it’s the wall competition
which, as Chelsie reminds us is, iconic. (1 point for “Mention something is
iconic” to Carol!) and that she needs to win it (1 point for “Say ‘I
need to win << comp name >>’” to Carol!). She’s not the first one to fall, that
distinction goes to Godzilla, but her blessed behind only lets her hang on for
8m. Now she’s counting on Cam, Brooklyn
or Quinn to take home the W (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” to Carol!).
Note: I should add a category for “hit all of the catchphrases
(ex: is iconic, in this game, need to win…) in one episode”.
After a half hour, Cam finally falls and it’s down to Tucker
and Quinn, who are strategically placed as far apart as possible. That doesn’t
stop them from offering (read: lying) to keep the other safe. A couple of minutes later, Quinn falls
leaving Tucker the last person standing (5 points for “Win HOH” to me!).
In the aftermath, Joseph and Kimo are glad they made their
move while Brooklyn, Cam and Chelsie see themselves as sitting ducks. Quinn
ruminates over the last week where his friend went home on his HOH, 2/3 of his
preferred alliance flipped without telling him and now he lost to Tucker
again. He’s rockbottoming while Tucker
is riding high. It’s all Tucker can do to play it cool when Kimo suggests
adding Joseph to the Tanks alliance without knowing about his Final 2 with the
new HOH. At their first meeting, Joseph, Kimo, T’Kor, Tucker, Rubina and Angela
become The Sixth Avenue Alliance (3 points for “Name an alliance” to Roberta!)
and (6 points each for “Be a member of an officially named alliance” to
Marissa and me!), (3 points each for “Be a member of an officially named
alliance” to Roberta and Jay!).
Now…about those nominations…
Tucker tells Quinn he’s going to be nominated but he’s not the target. The chef wants Brooklyn out, and I believe him, understandably Quinn doesn’t buy it at all.
One-by-one, Tucker talks to Brooklyn, Chelsie and Cam to get their information on the Cedric/Rubina vote.
- Brooklyn comes clean, telling him she expected it to be 9-1 against Rubina
- Chelsie lies, saying she thought she’d be the only one to vote against Rubina
- Cam also lies, saying he knew Cheslie was voting Rubina but didn’t know who the other vote was
Tucker should call all
three of them together, tell them all what each of them told him individually and
walk away saying “Figure out what your story is. Come get me when you’re ready.”
He’s got four targets (Quinn, Cam, Brooklyn and Chelsie) but
only three can be nominated. In the end,
it’s Quinn, Cam and Brooklyn on the block (6 points for “Nominated for Eviction”
to Jen!), (3 points for “Nominated for Eviction” to Carol!). Brookyln breaks down into tears (1 point
for “Shown on camera crying” to Jen!) while Quinn goes the other way reinforcing
his Veto win need (1 point for “Mention ‘I need to win << comp
name>> to Jen!).
In the DR, Tucker tells us he’s targeting Brooklyn because
she’s in everyone’s heads. With Quinn and Cam on the block, I imagine it will be
tough to focus the votes on her but somehow, I believe he has a plan.
What does this do for our scores?
I increased my lead over 2nd place Jay by a
whopping 56 points (!), while Jen pulls within a point of 2nd place Jay. Dalphyne remains solid in 4th as Marissa
and Roberta both leap into 5th and 6th over now-7th
place Ricky. Carol is still on the bottom but she’s closed the gap with 7th
and is threatening to move out of the cellar!
- Scott 129
- Jay 73
- Jen 72
- Dalphyne 59
- Marissa 53
- Roberta 51
- Ricky 46
- Carol 44
