Before we get started with this 2-part update, a reminder of
who has whom:
Second, no one got the “if looks could kill, you’d be
lying on the floor. You’d be begging me please, please baby don’t hurt me no
more.” song lyric reference. The
song was “If looks could kill” by Heart.
We pick up following Kimo’s eviction with Makensy and the
Warrior slapping each other with tortillas. (2 points each for “Speak in opening
vignette”[Cam], [Makensy] to Carol and Dalphyne!). They
say goodbye to Kimo (1 point for “Shown on camera in gray” [Kimo] to Jay!) as
The Warrior proves he’s not just lazy – he’s also delusional when he says they
targeted Kimo because he’s better at comps. They’ve played god knows how many comps. He’s
got 2 comp wins to Rubina’s 1.
Rubina is happy to have made it to the Final Four, as that’s
her favorite number and that she’s the last of her once-mighty trio left
standing (1 point for “Shown on camera in gray”[T’Kor] to Marissa!). She’s going to push even harder now. I’m sure Chelsie and Makensy are
shaking. Both Makensy and Chelsie do
some jury management, lying to Rubina that they are in for an all-girls final
three.
Everyone thinks they need to win the upcoming HOH comp (1
point each for “Mention ‘I need to win HOH’” [Makensy], [Rubina] to Dalphyne
and Marissa!), (2 points for “Mention ‘I need to win HOH’” [Chelsie], [The Warrior] to Carol!). Three
columns, each filled with gibberish code. One column has a real phrase. First to
find the phrase earns a point. Most points after 7 questions wins HOH. Shockingly, Rubina and Cam jump out to early
leads, but Chelsie storms back to lead 3-2 and in the end, she takes home her 4th
HOH of the summer! (5 points for “Win HOH” to Carol!).
Following the competition, Chelsie does some work on Rubina
ensuring she’d take her to the Final 3, and since she’s a woman Rubina is all-in,
even though Chelsie may need to nominate her. (1 point each for “Mention ‘in
this game’” [Chelsie], [Rubina] to Carol and Marissa!) Meanwhile, The Warrior is super-aggravated
that he lost but if he gets the chance, he’d send Makensy home. I get more aggravated failing a Clash of
Clans War attack than he does losing a competition that could cost him
$750,000. One of us probably needs to
change.
Makensy volunteers to be nominated (3 points for “Agree
to go up as a pawn” [Makensy] to Dalphyne!) but it doesn’t really matter. With four
people left, whoever wins Veto casts the sole vote to evict. At the ceremony, Makensy and the Warrior are
nominated (3 points each for “Nominated for eviction” [The Warrior],
[Makensy] to Carol and Dalphyne!) . Chelsie
thinks that, in an odd way, nominating both keeps blood off her hands and I
agree with her. Making that choice at this
point could’ve gone wildly wrong.
At the veto comp, It’s a “slowest person to answer / answer
incorrectly earns a strike. Three strikes
and you’re out” comp about the days events took place in the house. The Warrior
finally realizes that if he wins, HE gets to make the decisions (1 point for
“Mention ‘in this game’” [The Warrior] to Carol!). Nice to see you finally joined the game!
Shocking no one, Rubina is the first to Strike Three
Once Rubina loses, Chelsie throws the rest of the
competition to avoid having to make the final decision. Smart gameplay. Makensy and The Warrior both get to Strike Two
and we get….a cliffhanger ending. Which
I hate.
But lucky for you, the next episode has already aired! No
cliffhangers here! We pick back up on Thursday with Rubina explaining synchronized
periods to The Warrior (2 points for “Speak in opening vignette” [Rubina] to
Marissa!) and go Makensy reminding
us how important winning the Veto comp is (1 point for “Mention ‘I need to
win Veto” [Makensy] to Dalphyne!). In the final round, Makensy edges out
The Warrior to take home yet another Veto, and the sole power to evict! (4
points for “Win Veto” [Makensy] to Dalphyne!)
Makensy tells us she doesn’t think Cam would take her to
Final 2. She’s right, but does she
REALLY believe it? If so, Rule
#3: Play to Win says she should evict him. Chelsie wants both Makensy and The Warrior
in the Final 3 because she thinks, correctly, that they’re both stupid enough
to take her to the finale. She’s playing
the game on a completely different level than they are. It’s almost Pro’s vs. Joe’s (Google it).
Finally, The Warrior doesn’t like that his fate isn’t in his hands. TRY WINNING
SOMETHING THEN.
Makensy thinks The
Warrior could win his way out, to which I almost spit out my drink. He has as many comps wins as: Kenny the Yo-yo, Lisa (Glitter girl), and Young
Cedric…and they’ve all been out of the game for over a month! He barely has more points than Glitter Girl Lisa and she was the 2nd person evicted! Chelsie sees that as Makensy potentially
keeping Rubina, and she doesn’t want that.
Rubina reminds Makensy about their all-women pact (1
point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Rubina] to Marissa!) which is fine in Makensy’s
eyes since she’s beatable. Chelsie knows
that evicting The Warrior is best for Makensy, but that’s not best for her so
she invents a pile of well thought out bullshit to cloud Makensy’s
thinking. She was in the biggest
showmance and is still here! (1 point for “Shown on camera in gray” [Tucker]
to me!). She’d be afraid of the story
Rubina would tell at jury, which resonates with Makensy since it’s similar to
hers (1 point for “Shown on camera in gray” [Matt] to Ricky!) and she
has two immediate votes on the jury (1 point each for “Shown on camera in
gray” [Kimo], [T’Kor] to Jay and Marissa!) but if we sit next to The Warrior,
we win no matter what. You can almost
see Makensy’s will failing, her mind bending to Chelsie
Later, Makensy probes at whether the Warrior would take her to Final Two. He follows Rule #7: Always Say Yes, saying the shock factor of cutting Chelsie would help his story. It doesn’t matter if he’d do it. Mostly because making that decision requires winning a competition, but also because the only thing that truly matters is Makensy believes him.
At the veto meeting, Makensy uses the veto on herself which
means Rubina gets nominated (3 points for “Nominated for eviction” [Rubina]
to Marissa!). Both of their speeches
are funny but neither is convincing.
At the end, Makensy gives in to Chelsie’s will and evicts
Rubina. That loyalty is going to be a $750,000 mistake. (1 point for “Received
vote against” [Rubina] to Marissa!), (-2 points for “Evicted” [Rubina] against
Marissa) and (2 points for “Jury Member” [Rubina] to Marissa!)
So what does this mean for our scores? It’s down to the
wire! Marissa picks up 13 Rubina points,
bringing her to within 19 of the lead! Carol rides Chelsie’s performance, and
Cam’s chatter, to gain 15 points, and is 74 points behind. With only one
episode remaining, I think the game is mine to lose.
