Sue

Roberta

Sam

Carol

Sol

Andy
(AKA The Joker)

 Lifelines:  None

Second, 5 bonus points each to Carol and Angela for knowing it was BB12’s Enzo of the Brigade sitting on that banana!

We pick up back at camp after Gabe had gotten the boot and while everyone’s feeling bad for Kyle, he doesn’t mind. They were going after each other eventually, he just hit back first.

The following morning, Caroline wants to talk to Sue about Gabe, but Sue isn’t there yet.  Don’t worry, Caroline. She’ll come around. She has nowhere else to go. (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’” [Caroline] to Brian!). Once she lets Caroline apologize, Sue feels better about her.  Teeny, Rachel and The Joker start plotting their endgame now that Gabe is gone and add Sue and Caroline.  The Joker sees them all as pieces in a game for him to manipulate. He truly has morphed into a villain!  (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’ [Andy] to Carol!)

With 8 players left, a 5-person alliance runs the game.  That’s bad news for Sam, Genevieve and Kyle, who recognize the other five plot against them (1 point each for “Mention ‘in this game’ [Sam], [Genevieve], [Kyle] to Roberta, Dylan and Lia!).  Kyle claims to have the ability to lie and manipulate but he hasn’t shown it because his kids are watching.  It’s part of the game, kid. If you’re not going to manipulate people on some moral ground, you’ll get manipulated by people instead.

A boat showing up tells Teeny that someone might get an advantage (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’ [Teeny] to Angela!) and while Rachel doesn’t really want to go, she wants Sam or Genevieve going less (1 point for “Mention ‘in this game’ [Rachel] to Iyasah!) and wouldn’t you know it, Rachel draws the right rock! (3 points for “Go on a journey” [Rachel] to Iysah!).

She doesn’t get to go to the forest or an island, however. Her competition takes place on a platform at sea with a puzzle tied to weights which will be pulled into the ocean by ropes.  If she unlocks the advantage before the weights drag her puzzle to the depths, she wins.

It’s a “Arrange the blocks in columns by color” puzzle, and while she’s fast, the ropes and weights disappear faster.  After a very tense two minutes, Rache unlocks and snatches the advantage right before it’s pulled into the abyss!  (8 points for “Obtain a secret advantage” [Rachel] to Iyasah!) .  Rachel now has a hidden immunity idol and a block-a-vote power.

Upon her return, she’s honest to her 5 (Teeny, Caroline, Sue and The Joker), but Sam doesn’t believe her “I lost my vote” story.  Being honest with Sue goes a long way to building trust, and Caroline is more than happy for Rachel – a bigger threat level makes her a bigger shield.

At the immunity challenge, they have to keep a wobbly table steady while balancing letters that spell IMMUNITY.  Another comp I couldn’t do if my life depended on it!

Sam, Rachel and Genevieve burst out in a race, leading Jeff to note that if all of them fail Teeny will be in the lead.  One by one, they all drop.

Nice

After many, many iterations of leaders Rachel finally makes progress again. She places her final letter and is inching her way back, but she’s going sooooo slowly that Kyle is gaining on her. He almost catches her but she pulls out the win! (8 points for “Win individual immunity” [Rachel] to Iyasah!).  She’s safe, Kyle isn’t.   Now Rachel has immunity, hidden immunity and a block-a-vote power. She’s sitting pretty!

Teeny thinks anything but Kyle is dumb, and she’s right.  This should be easy, but an easy vote means someone will think “let’s not be obvious” and it’s Rachel who thinks Genevieve or Sam would be good targets.  Sue, naturally, still wants Kyle since he wrote her name 10 episodes ago. That is the only vote she’s gotten to date and she’s still carrying it around like a cross.

A message from one show to another

In order to leave his mark on the game, The Joker needs to flip the win switch (5 points for “Say the title of the episode” [The Joker] to Carol!).  He’d prefer to go after Genevieve, since Kyle is a one-dimensional player.  Rachel wants Genevieve but Teeny, Sue and Caroline are dead set on Kyle.

At Tribal Council, they debate what constitutes a threat. Kyle tries to convince people that being a challenge threat isn’t a great way to win, and they should flip the script.

5 points if you tell me which challenge beast this is.
Tell no one else. Offer good until next update.
No internet sleuthing!

As they consider what the bigger threat is, the outward facing challenge beast, or the behind-the-scenes vote orchestrator, Genevieve considers that she might be in trouble.  It doesn’t last long though. At the vote, Kyle is voted out 6-1 and becomes Juror #4 (1 point for  “Received vote against” [Genevieve] to Dylan!), ( 1 point for “Received vote against” [Teeny] to Angela!), (6 points for “Received vote against” [Kyle] to Lia!), (-2 points for “The Tribe Has Spoken” [Kyle] against Lia!), and (2 points for “Jury member” to Lia!)

I’ll call this one “Fall of the Challenge Beast”

What does that mean for our scores?   Angela maintains her lead, but it’s Iyasah’s week to shine!  She picks up 25 big points thanks to Rachel’s huge week and leaps past Carol and Roberta into 3rd place! Unfortunately for Lia while she remains in 2nd this week thanks to Kyle’s vote points, her game ends there. I feel bad for you, Lia! I have Kyle in my league too! Alas!

Carol remains in 4th while Roberta drops to 5th because Sam can’t do anything right.  Finally 6th, 7th and 8th place Dylan, Shiela and Brian wonder when their players will ever actually DO something.

It’s a conundrum. A conspiracy. It’s probably chemtrails! (Don’t google that. Trust me.)
